Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. finely chopped celery
    3/4 c. chopped green pepper
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. water
    2 tsp. parsley
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    2 bay leaves
    1 lb. raw, peeled shrimp
    3 c. hot cooked rice
Preparation
    Saute onion, celery, green pepper and garlic in margarine until tender.
    Add tomato sauce, water and seasoning.
    Simmer uncovered 10 minutes.
    Stir in shrimp.
    Heat to boiling.
    Cover and cook over medium heat 10 to 20 minutes or until shrimp are pink and tender.
    Serve over rice with crackers or hot French bread.
    Makes 6 servings.
