Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

3 c. chopped tart apples
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. salad oil
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Prepare apples and nuts.
Combine oil and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Sift together salt, soda, baking powder and flour.
Add gradually.
The batter will be too stiff to use electric mixer.
Fold in apples and nuts.
Pour into 2 deep 9-inch pans or a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
The top will be crusty.
Requires no icing.
