Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. soft shortening
    1 lb. can fruit cocktail with juice
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except chocolate chips and nuts, in large mixer bowl.
    Blend well at lowest speed.
    Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
    Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
    No frosting needed.
