Shepherd'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef/turkey
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 can vegetable soup
    1/2 to 1 tsp. thyme
    3 c. mashed potatoes (fresh or leftover)
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    fresh or leftover cooked mixed vegetables (optional)
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion.
    Drain.
    Stir in soup, thyme and extra vegetables.
    Spoon into 2-quart casserole.
    Spread potatoes evenly over meat.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until hot all the way through.
    Remove from oven.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Heat until melted.
