Vegetable Beef Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. shank steak with bone in
    1 can V-8 juice
    celery
    carrot
    onions
    marjoram
    thyme
    salt and pepper
    carrot greens (if available)
Preparation
    Sear steak in metal soup pot.
    Bake in oven at 350\u00b0 until dry (1 hour).
    Remove steak and add a little water to make stock.
    It should be rich dark brown.
