Never Fail Pie Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    6 Tbsp. white sugar
    1/2 c. water
    3 egg whites
    flavoring (if desired)
Preparation
    Mix cornstarch, sugar and water in small saucepan.
    Cook until thick and clear, about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    Cool. Beat egg whites until frothy.
    Add flavoring and cornstarch, mix and beat until fluffy and is peaking.
