Mom'S Home-Style Vegetable Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. ground turkey
    1 small onion, chopped (about 1/4 c.)
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
    1 c. uncooked macaroni
    1 1/4 c. hot water
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 c. frozen mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots)
    3/4 c. shredded low-fat Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    In 2-quart microwave-safe casserole, crumble the ground turkey; add onion and microwave on High (100% power), uncovered, for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes or until cooked through; drain.
    Add spaghetti sauce, macaroni, water and garlic powder; mix lightly.
    Cover with lid and microwave on High for 7 to 8 minutes or until almost boiling, stirring once halfway through cooking time.
    Mix in vegetables; cover.
    Microwave on High 10 to 12 minutes or until macaroni and vegetables are tender; stir twice during cooking time. Stir in cheese and let stand 3 minutes to melt cheese.
    Makes 6 servings.
