Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 c. quick oats
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats; let stand for 20 minutes.
    Cream together brown sugar, white sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Add cream mixture to dry ingredients; cinnamon, soda, salt and flour.
    Add oats.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done and toothpick comes out clean. Frost with favorite icing.
