Crumb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix brown sugar, flour, shortening and salt. Knead as a pie crust. Save 1/2 cup crumbs for top of cake.
    Add sour milk, soda, egg and vanilla. Blend well. Bake in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
