Hot Water Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. molasses
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
Preparation

Mix ingredients in order listed, dissolving soda in boiling water.
Pour into shallow, greased pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Serve with Gingerbread Sauce.
