Shortbread Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. softened butter (no substitutes)
    1 c. sifted powdered sugar
    3 1/2 c. all purpose flour
    1/2 c. cornstarch
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
    Combine flour and cornstarch, gradually add to creamed mixture.
    Pat into ungreased 15 x 10
    pan.
    Pierce several times with a fork.
    Bake 350\u00b0 for 40 - 45 minutes or until lightly brown.
    Cut while warm.
    Yield about 6 dozen.
    Store in airtight container.
