Quiche Lorraine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 1 (9-inch) pie crust
    12 slices bacon, crisp and crumbled
    1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
    1/3 c. finely chopped onion
    4 eggs
    2 c. half and half
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preparation
    Prepare pie shell.
    Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion in pastry.
    Blend eggs slightly.
    Beat in remaining ingredients. Pour egg mixture into pie pan.
    Cook, uncovered, at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Reduce to 300\u00b0 and cook until knife inserted in center comes out clean (about 30 minutes).
    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
