Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef/turkey
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes and juice
    1 (14 oz.) can kidney beans and juice
    1 packet taco seasoning
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (14 oz.) can corn and juice
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 to 2 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    grated cheese (optional)
Preparation
    Brown beef in large, heavy kettle; drain fat.
    Add onion and cook and stir until onion is tender.
    Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 15 minutes.
    Serve with sprinkle of grated cheese on top, if desired.
