No-Fat Split Pea Soup(Serves 4) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. dry split peas
6 c. water
2 c. diced fresh carrots
1 bunch long green onions
1 Tbsp. dry parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cubes chicken bouillon
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 c. dry instant potatoes
Preparation

Soak split peas overnight in cold water.
Drain and rinse. Put in kettle and add water.
Bring to boil and then turn down to simmer.
Add all other ingredients except potatoes.
Set timer for 1 hour and 15 minutes, letting soup simmer for this time. When time is up, add in instant potatoes; stir and remove from heat.
