Overnite Cabbage Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 onion
    2 stalks celery
    1 green pepper
    2 carrots
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1/4 tsp. celery seed
    1/4 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Shred cabbage.
    Put in refrigerator to keep crisp.
    Chop other vegetables fairly fine.
    Put in with crisp cabbage.
    Add other 7 ingredients in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Pour over vegetables. Mix well.
    This salad keeps several days.
