Sweet And Sour Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. breadcrumbs
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1 c. milk
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 egg
    salt and pepper to taste
    oil
    1 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    6 to 8 gingersnaps, crushed
    1/2 c. finely packed brown sugar
    3 c. pineapple juice
Preparation
    Mix breadcrumbs, milk, ground chuck, onions and egg.
    Salt and pepper to taste.
    Form into 1 inch balls and brown in small amount of oil; drain.
    Combine butter, gingersnaps, brown sugar and pineapple juice.
    Simmer 30 minutes until thick and smooth, stirring occasionally.
    Pour sauce over meatballs and simmer 5 minutes.
    Spoon into chafing dish over candle.
    Put pineapple chunks, if desired.
    Yields 30 to 40 meatballs.
