Mud Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 pkg. marshmallows
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar and add eggs.
    Sift flour and cocoa; add and mix well.
    Add nuts and vanilla and pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 55 minutes at 300\u00b0.
    When done, remove from oven and cover with marshmallows.
    Return to oven and bake 10 minutes longer.
    Let cool before icing.
