Mock Barbecued Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 chicken breasts or equal parts (legs, thighs, etc.)
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. catsup
    1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/8 tsp. garlic salt or 1 clove fresh minced garlic
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Wash chicken and pat dry.
    In electric or regular frying pan, combine all ingredients, then add chicken.
    Cook, uncovered, over medium heat, turning to brown evenly.
    Cook for 35 to 40 minutes, or until tender.
    Remove to platter.
    Skim off oil.
    Add a little water and stir to loosen brownings.
    Pour sauce over chicken and serve.
