Nut Cake(100 Year Old Family Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. pecans
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs, beaten
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. raisins
    1 c. butter
    3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    2 wine glasses sherry or brandy
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together.\tCream butter and sugar. Add all other ingredients; add\tdry.
    Mix
    well.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, then bake at 300\u00b0 an additional hour.
