Scrumptious Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    20 oz. can crushed pineapple
    1 c. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. vanilla instant pudding
    1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 c. Angel Flake coconut
Preparation
    Bake yellow cake as directed on box in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Let cool.
    Using toothpick or fork, punch holes in cake.
    Heat pineapple and sugar in a saucepan.
    Bring to a boil, heating until sugar melts.
    Spread over cake.
    Prepare vanilla pudding as directed on box and spread over cake, pouring to the edges.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Before serving, spread Cool Whip over cake and sprinkle with coconut.
