Easy Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. oil
1 onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
2 c. canned tomatoes
2 c. cream-style corn
1 c. milk
1 c. uncooked yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 c. ripe olives
1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation

In a heavy skillet, heat oil and cook onion until soft.
Add beef and cook until lightly browned.
Stir in all remaining ingredients, except olives and cheese, mixing well.
Add olives. Cover pie with chunks of cheese.
Cover and cook on top of stove over low heat, about 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
