Minestrone Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. olive oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. chopped celery
    4 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    6 oz. tomato paste
    10 1/2 oz. beef broth
    9 c. water
    4 medium potatoes, diced
    1 c. chopped cabbage
    2 carrots, sliced thin
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. sage
    1 can kidney beans
    1 c. green beans
    1 c. elbow macaroni
    2 small cans chi-chi beans
    grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Heat oil in a large pot. Add garlic, onion, celery and parsley. Cook until soft.
    Add tomato paste and next 8 ingredients.
    Mix well. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 1 hour. Add beans and macaroni. Cook 10 to 15 minutes. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
