Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground meat
    1 c. diced potatoes
    1 c. diced carrots
    1 c. diced onions
    1 c. diced celery
    4 c. cooked tomatoes
    1/2 c. raw rice (optional)
    4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brown beef lightly, drain.
    Combine all ingredients and simmer, covered, 1 hour.
    (I usually add a little sugar and cook longer than 1 hour.)
