Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. raisins, washed and drained
3 c. chopped dates
2 to 3 c. chopped nuts
1 lb. candied fruit
1/4 c. molasses
1 c. fruit juice
1 c. oleo or butter
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. mace
Preparation

Mix together raisins, dates, nuts, candied fruit, molasses and juice.
Cream together butter or oleo and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time; beat well after each addition.
Sift dry ingredients.
Mix eggs, sugar and butter mixture into fruit mixture.
Add dry ingredients.
Line 2 tube or loaf pans with aluminum foil; grease well.
Bake at 275\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
Place shallow pan of water on lower shelf.
