Sour Cream Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

1 pkg. Duncan Hines butter cake mix
2 1/2 pkg. frozen coconut
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
Preparation

Bake cake as directed on package, using 2 round layers. Mix Cool Whip, 2 packages coconut and sour cream and sugar. Split cake layers to make 4 layers; stack with split side up. Spread icing between each layer, sides and top, then top with remaining coconut.
