Sweet Peach Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 pt. vinegar
    4 lb. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cloves
    1 Tbsp. pickling spices
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    9 lb. peaches
Preparation
    Make a syrup of 1 1/2-pints of vinegar and 4 pounds sugar.
    Add 1 tablespoon each of cloves, pickling and cinnamon (tie these in a little cheese cloth bag) and boil for about 18 to 20 minutes or until very thick.
    Have ready 9 pounds peaches and add to the syrup.
    Boil until you can pierce peaches with a straw.
    Remove from stove and seal while hot.
