Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    German chocolate cake mix
    1/2 c. canned milk (not Milnot)
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1/3 c. canned milk
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients and bake 1/2 mixture in greased and floured 9
    x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 5 minutes.
    Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk over low heat.
    Spread over cooled cake mixture. Add pecans and chips.
    Pour over rest of batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
