Thunder N' Lightning Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 1/2 lb. cucumbers
    3 pt. ice water
    2/3 c. salt
    4 to 5 sprig dill blossoms
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 tsp. grated horseradish
    2 hot pepper pods
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar
    2/3 c. water
    3/4 c. white sugar
Preparation
    Peel cukes.
    Slice in half lengthwise.
    Cut halves into thirds, then in half crosswise.
    Put in non-reactive bowl and cover with brine made with ice water and salt.
    Cover and let stand overnight.
