Sauerbraten - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. boneless chuck
    2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 1/2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. pickling spices
    1 tsp. ginger
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    3 sliced onions
Preparation
    Sprinkle chuck with salt.
    Place in deep bowl.\tCombine other ingredients in saucepan, boil; pour over meat.
    Place in refrigerator to marinate for 3 or
    4
    days,
    turning meat over every day.\tWhen ready to cook,
    remove
    meat,
    dry with paper towel, strain and reserve marinade.
    Dredge
    meat
    with
    flour and brown in hot fat in heavy pan.
    Add 1 cup marinade to meat and cover.
    Cook about 3 hours, slowly in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Add more liquid if needed.
