Ingredients

1 unbaked pie shell
1 stick butter, melted
3 eggs
3/4 c. buttermilk, well shaken
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Place pie shell in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Mix the eggs and butter until well combined. Add the vanilla and buttermilk and mix well. Combine the flour, sugar and salt and stir into the liquid. Pour the filling into the pie shell and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until set and lightly browned. Let cool on a rack. It can be served warm, room temperature or cold. Makes 8 servings.
