Red Beans And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (1 lb.) pkg. pinto beans
2 bay leaves
1 onion, diced
water to cover beans
1 lb. bulk hot sausage
1 lb. smoked sausage
salt to taste
cooked rice
Preparation

Pick out rocks and bad beans, soak overnight in water.
Drain, rinse, add water to cover, add onion and bay leaves, cook until tender.
In skillet, brown bulk sausage and break apart; add beans.
In skillet, place thinly sliced smoked sausage and simmer to remove grease, add to beans.
Take cup of beans and mash, return to beans and stir.
(This will thicken mixture.)
Add salt to taste.
Pour over cooked rice.
