Strawberry Season Dessert - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. vanilla wafers plus few for topping
1/2 stick butter
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 qt. fresh strawberries, sliced in half
1 pt. heavy cream, whipped stiff
Preparation

Make wafers into crumbs.
Mix crumbs with 1/2 stick butter. Press into 9 x 13-inch pan.
Beat 1 stick butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat again.
Spread over crumbs. Place strawberries over this mixture.
Spread whipped cream over berries.
Sprinkle additional crumbs over this.
Refrigerate 24 hours.
Slice and serve.
Serves 12.
