Louisiana Pear Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Pastry for 2-crust, 9-inch pie
    6 cups sliced cooking pears
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1-1/2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Place pears in a saucepan and add a little water.
    Cook until almost tender.
    Mix dry ingredients and add to pears.
    Stir lightly to mix.
    Pour filling into pastry.
    Dot with butter and place top crust on pie, sealing the edges.
    Make 3 or 4 slits in top crust.
    Bake at 400 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
