Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. unpopped corn
    1 1/2 c. salted peanuts
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. white vinegar
    1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
    3/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Pop the corn.
    Put into a bowl. Add nuts.
    In 2-quart saucepan, combine sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, water, vinegar and salt.
    Heat to a boil on medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Cook and stir until 260\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Reduce heat to low. Stir in butter until melted.
    Pour syrup over corn and nuts in thin stream, stirring until coated. Spread on buttered sheet to cool.
