Cherry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 1/8 c. cake flour
    1/2 c. milk and juice from cherries to make 3/4 c.
    3 egg whites, beaten
    16 cherries
    3/4 c. pecans
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and sugar, add 1/8 cup flour, cherries and nuts. Stir slowly and
    add
    the
    rest
    of the flour and liquid mixture (milk and
    juice).
    Last,
    fold
    in beaten egg whites. Bake in a moderate
    oven
    at 350\u00b0 about 25 to 30 minutes.
    Ice with 7-Minute Frosting, tinted pink.
