Sugarplum Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. cloves
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. sour milk
2 eggs
1/2 c. lard

Preparation

Cream together sugar and lard.
Add milk and eggs alternately with sifted dry ingredients.
Pour into 9 (9-inch) layer pans. Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
