Barbecued Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 small white onions, peeled (1 1/2 inch diameter)
    1/4 c. catsup
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    pinch of pepper
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    4 slices bacon, dried and cooked crisp
Preparation
    Parboil onions for 4 to 5 minutes.
    Drain and put in a buttered, shallow, 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Mix catsup, water, vinegar, salt and pepper and spread over onions.
    Sprinkle mixture with brown sugar and bacon.
