Polish Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. sour cream
    2 Tbsp. vanilla butternut flavoring or 1 Tbsp. vanilla and 1 Tbsp. rum flavoring
    2 sticks (1 c.) margarine
    5 large eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    10 oz. jar maraschino cherries
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream margarine, sugar and salt.
    Add eggs, 1 at a time and beat well.
    Add flour and milk alternately, ending with flour.
    Add flavoring.
    Add jar of chopped maraschino cherries, well drained. Add walnuts.
    Fold in cherries and walnuts.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until done.
    Start cake in cold oven and do not open oven door while baking.
    Gas oven 325\u00b0; electric oven 300\u00b0.
