Chicken Pot Pie Family Style - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
5 Tbsp. butter
2 c. flour
3 c. chicken broth
2 to 3 c. cooked chicken, chopped
1 1/2 c. frozen peas and carrots
1 tsp. parsley
2 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs, separated
3/4 c. milk
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

In a saucepot melt 4 tablespoons butter with onion.
Add 1/2 cup flour; cook.
Do not let brown.
Gradually add broth, stirring constantly until smooth and thick.
Add vegetables, chicken and spices.
Pour into a 2-quart glass baking dish.
In a medium bowl, stir remaining flour, baking powder and salt.
Cut in 1 tablespoon butter until mix is crumbly.
Beat egg yolks slightly and add milk. Add flour to mix and stir.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold into batter.
Spread over chicken mix.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until golden.
