Fresh Corn Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 egg yolks
    1 1/2 c. fresh corn, cut off the cob
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and baking powder; set aside.
    Beat egg yolks.
    Stir in corn, pepper and 1 tablespoon oil.
    Add corn mixture to flour mixture.
    Beat egg whites until they stand in peaks; fold into corn mixture.
    Drop from tablespoon into iron skillet containing 1/2-inch hot vegetable oil.
    Cook until golden brown, turning once.
    Yield:
    1 1/2 dozen.
