Edna'S Rhinelander Green Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 slices bacon
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
6 Tbsp. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
6 c. shredded cabbage
2 (1 lb.) cans green beans
Preparation

Cut bacon in very small pieces and brown.
Add onion after bacon has browned.
Allow to cool.
Mix vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and cabbage.
Add this to bacon and onion.
Drain beans; add to cabbage/bacon mixture and simmer for several hours.
Drain off excess liquid before serving.
