Gramma'S Creamed Green Beans And Mushrooms - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. fresh green beans, cut in 1 1/2-inch pieces or 3 pkg. frozen cut green beans
12 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 to 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 c. half and half cream
pinch of nutmeg to taste
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. Argo cornstarch, mixed with a little water until smooth
Preparation

Cook green beans to desired tenderness in salt water.
Drain. In large skillet, saute mushrooms in butter until soft.
Add half and half and cornstarch, then seasonings to taste.
Stir constantly.
Bring to boil, turn down heat until thickened.
Add cooked, drained green beans to mixture and simmer on low heat until all ingredients are coated.
Taste and adjust seasonings. Serves 8 to 10.
