Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon, mixed
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix first 4 ingredients.
    Stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough into 1 to 1 1/2-inch balls. Roll balls into cinnamon-sugar mixture until coated.
    Place 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake until set, 6 to 8 minutes.
    Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
    Makes about 6 dozen.
