Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Blend with pastry blender; then add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Put in cup and mix with fork; then add to pastry and mix lightly with fork.
    Press 1/2 of mixture in cookie sheet.
    Put in 2 cans of filling.
    Sprinkle with rest of pastry.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
