Baking Powder Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 to 1 c. milk or water
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients.
    Cut in Crisco with knife until crumbly.
    Add liquid ingredients.
    Mix until a thick batter is obtained.
    Drop by 1 tablespoon spoonfuls into boiling soup or stew.
    Cover tightly.
    Cook about 10 to 12 minutes until dumplings rise.
