Mushroom, Brown Rice Skillet - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 ribs celery with tops, chopped (1 1/2 c.)
1 large onion, chopped coarse
1 clove garlic
1/4 c. oleo
1 1/2 c. water
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 bouillon cube (chicken)
1 c. brown rice
1 tsp. salt
Preparation
-
Saute celery, onion and garlic in oleo for 5 minutes or until celery is crispy and tender.
Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Stir to dissolve bouillon.
Cover and steam over low heat, without stirring, for 50 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
