Caramel Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. water
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Melt first 3 ingredients together; do not boil. Cream together the sugar and butter. Add flour alternately with milk, then add vanilla, cinnamon and nuts.
Put syrup in a 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
Add batter by spoonfuls to syrup.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
(Test with toothpick.)
Serve upside down.
