Cheese Bits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sharp cheese, shredded
    1/2 lb. butter or 2 sticks margarine
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
    1 egg white, slightly beaten
Preparation
    With mixer, blend cheese and butter until soft.
    Sift flour and pepper; gradually work into cream mixture with spoon.
    Roll out 1/2 inch thick.
    Cut into 1 inch rounds.
    Brush with egg whites.
    Bake on ungreased baking sheet in hot oven at 425\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Makes about 8 dozen.
