Skillet Barbecued Burgers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
6 thin onion slices
1 Tbsp. Wesson oil
1/2 lemon, thinly sliced (optional)
1/4 c. finely chopped celery
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Preparation

Combine ground beef, egg, salt, pepper and 1/2 can tomato sauce.
Form into six patties.
Press one onion slice in each. Heat Wesson oil in skillet and brown onion side of patties.
Pour off excess fat.
Turn patties and lemon slices, celery and remaining seasonings.
Pour on remaining 1 1/2 cans tomato sauce. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes or until done.
Baste patties occasionally.
Serves 6.
