Grandma'S Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 level tsp. salt
    1/2 level tsp. baking powder
    2 level Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. very cold milk (approximately) or milk and water
Preparation
    Sift well together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Rub in shortening as lightly as possible with fingers, working just until well blended.
    Then mix to a very soft dough with milk.
    Mix with spoon or hand.
    Turn the dough onto a well-floured board and roll out or pat 3/4-inch thick.
    Cut biscuits and lay on baking pan not touching.
    Bake in a quick oven (400\u00b0) for 12 to 14 minutes.
